Please contact us about the prices, which include the wooden trellis walls, hand painted door, radial poles and centre piece, internal curtains and external canvas both with basic Mongolian designs. The price also includes a thick layer of felt on the walls and roof for insulation in winter.

Also included in the price one staff will come to your site to help you erect the yurt the first time and answer any questions you may have as well as giving you a basic instructional DVD and book.

The main things you need to think about are :

-Your location, these are not the best in excessive rain areas eg West Coast South Island. The site would ideally be set up so the door is north facing and not obsured to the sun.

-The floor (not provided) can be anything from bare dirt, to wood or concrete.

-Heating in winter - works well with a bot belly stove (not provided).

-Council permits - you must check with the local council as it varies from district to district. Some councils are not so concerned about stuctures less than 30m2 (6m diam yurt is approx 28m2.
